A woman charged with stalking Kate McCann apparently deposited her a phone message which questioned: "suppose I am Madeleine?"

On Monday, the court learned communication data and evidence obtained from phones logged Ms Wandelt consistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a DNA test during the past two years.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - when she was three years old during a vacation in Portugal - is among the most covered investigations and continues to be unsolved.

'I Don't Want Money'

Another phone message, presented in court, captured Ms Wandelt stating: "I know I'm overweight and plain like Madeleine had been, but I feel what I believe."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's recording said: "Suppose there is a small chance that I am Madeleine? What happens next? Isn't that important for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I maintain a life here in Poland, I simply desire to know," the recording stated.

The tribunal was informed that by means of emails, mobile messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a biological test, sent youth pictures to her phone in a bid to demonstrate a resemblance to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and stated to have "recollections" from a early life with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, a data specialist with Leicestershire Police who collated the evidence, advised the court there "didn't appear to be any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore reached out to acquaintances of the McCanns, based on the communication logs.

On that date, Gerry McCann picked up a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "a wrong number."

During that incident Ms Wandelt recorded a message on Mrs McCann's recording stating "I will persist and I intend to demonstrate my point."

Court proceedings

The court heard Mrs Spragg established a association online with Ms Wandelt preceding accompanying her on a trip to the McCanns' property in the county in December 2024.

Call logs showed Mrs Spragg had reached out using messaging service to Mrs McCann to say the news outlets had characterized Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she should be considered genuine in the period leading up to the visit to the village, Leicestershire, in December 2024.

The court heard correspondence between the two defendants, in last November, planning attempting to get Mrs McCann's genetic material from her trash or from silverware at a restaurant.

"We need to make a stand," Mrs Spragg advised Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the appearance to their residence, Mrs Spragg sent a message which said: "We find ourselves positioned near the McCanns' home with our headlights off similar to private investigators. I had hoped to accomplish this with Peter Andrew I didn't imagine I would be doing that with the McCanns."

The proceedings ongoing.
